This is what is needed to block off and eliminate your EGR valve in case your tube has cracked or for a variety of other reasons. Our premium plate is made of fully machined 3/8" thick aircraft grade aluminum to last the lifetime of the car.
This block off plate fits all engines for all years for the '89-97 Thunderbirds/Cougars (except for the '91-93 5.0L) , the '93-98 Mark VIIIs and likely many other Ford applications with EGR. For reference the bolt spacing on our plate is 1 11/16" .
You can reuse the two original EGR valve bolts with this plate.
