This item is for a pair of bushings with washers for one rear Mark VIII style aluminum lower control arm (LCA). These are sold "per side" so purchase two if you want a complete set for both sides. This item is designed for all years of Lincoln Mark VIII and '89-97 Tbird/Cougars that have been switched to the Mark VIII LCAs. This is a VERY popular upgrade due to the huge weight reduction going from cast iron to aluminum.
Tbird and Cougar owners prefer to swap to the lightweight Lincoln Mark VIII rear LCAs but you do need a spring perch (which SCP offers as a separate item) and the stock rubber bushings are not available in the aftermarket what so ever. SCP now offers delrin bushings to replace the pair of LCA bushings.
Delrin material is a type of plastic that has great attributes for use as suspension bushings. It is stiffer than polyurethane. Does not squeak in cold weather! Has great wear-ability but very low resistance characteristics.
The two lower control arm bushings have been obsolete from Ford for a long time and these bushings are not available in the aftermarket. SCP is offering the two bushings in delrin material as it is preferred for any performance or stock application.
NOTE: These bushings are designed to retain the factory toe compensator link which is adjacent to the lower control arm. SCP sells these separately as a "Related Item" if yours need replacing. These are sold individually so buy two for both sides.
